I believe that therapy is an active, supportive, and collaborative process. I specialize in working with young adults and integrate a variety of therapeutic strategies, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and relational theory. My goal is to help individuals achieve their optimal health and well-being through a personalized, holistic approach that is tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe that the combination of insight, mindfulness, and tuning into our bodily cues can all lead to lasting change.
I understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and I work with clients one-on-one to support them as they make positive changes.
I believe that our relationship with our bodies is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves. I strongly believe that when our eating habits, sleep patterns, and daily activities are not well-regulated, we may feel more anxious, stressed, and have difficulty navigating our relationships and day-to-day interactions with others.
I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and Board Certified Health Counselor (AADP). I earned a B.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Education from Columbia University, and a Master of Social Work from New York University. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and I have studied at the William Alanson White Institute, where I received a certificate in Addictions, Compulsions, and Eating Disorders.
And beyond any of my credentials, I bring warmth, intuition, candor, and agility to my clients. I believe in being human together. As a native New Yorker, along with two young adult children and my husband of 30 years, I love living in the heart of the city.
